RootsTech 2013 Official Blogger

I am surprised and delighted to be asked again to be an official blogger for RootsTech 2013.  The RootsTech website has just been updated for the 2013 conference and the class schedule is already on it.  I'm excited to see that there will be a class track for beginners.  One of the things I heard a lot last year was that some of the classes and keynotes were "over the head" of the average genealogist so I'm glad the conference planners were listening!  Personally, I didn't feel that way but then again I avoided all the classes that said "Developer"!.  If you haven't been to RootsTech before consider making the trip this year. I made some great friends (Lynn Palermo I'm looking at you), learned a lot, both in and out of class and generally had a blast. Hopefully I'll see you there!

  1. I went to a developer session the first year and it was completely over my head. I learned that I am not a developer. I'd go again, just out of curiosity. Maybe I'd learn something.

I'm looking forward to seeing you at RootsTech. Congratulations on the official blogger designation!

    1. Thanks Amy. Yes, I am SO not a developer. I don't think I'll be going to any of the Beginner classes but developer? Not so much. Looking forward to seeing you too. Maybe we should have a special librarian meet-up? :)

  2. Thanks Nancy, it was great getting to know you as well. While the timing of this years conference will not work for me, I will be attending virtually. Watch for me in your twitter feed.
